A Two-Part Workshop Series: Real Estate Readiness for Childcare Centers

***Participants must attend both workshops (May 22th & June 12th both from 8:30AM-2:00PM)**

Community Vision has partnered with the Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF) to present a two-part workshop series on real estate readiness for childcare centers on May 22 and June 12. This series is designed for Centers that are planning to expand or relocate their facilities. Participants will learn how to prepare their organization for a real estate project, secure funding sources and manage the development process. The workshops are best suited for center Board Members, Executive Directors, CFOs, COOs and other senior managers. At the conclusion of the series, participating Centers may have access to Community Vision’s real estate consulting services.

Workshop #1 Topics: May 22, 2019

  • Assessing financial and organizational capacity
  • Project budgeting
  • Calculating space needs
  • Identifying location priorities

Workshop #2 Topics: June 12, 2019

  • Negotiating lease/purchase agreements
  • Evaluating sites
  • Funding sources
  • Project management (assembling your team)
