Community Vision collects impact data directly from the organizations we serve — affordable housing units built, clients served, square feet of community facilities developed.
We interview our lending clients three years after closing to determine what has actually been achieved. For our New Markets Tax Credit clients, we monitor results for seven years, updating impacts as they change.
We find meaning.
Job gains are less relevant if jobs are dead-end. Numbers of clients served are only important if services are effective. We monitor change over time in the neighborhoods where we’ve invested as we’re not just interested in the numbers, we’re interested in what the numbers mean.
