Idaima robles

We are thrilled to welcome Idaima Robles as Community Vision’s new Senior Loan Officer focused on small business lending. She brings more than a decade of experience in inclusive economic development, finance, and small business advising to her role.

Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico and raised in Chicago, Idaima is passionate about increasing access to resources for small business owners in historically disinvested communities.

“All entrepreneurs need trusted advisors and community partners that provide sound advice and resources regardless of where they come from or the language they speak,” said Idaima. “I feel aligned with Community Vision’s mission and am excited to contribute to increasing our reach to more communities.”

Prior to joining Community Vision she served as a Commercial Loan Officer with Self-Help Federal Credit Union, underwriting loans of up to $5 million around the country. Prior to that she was Director of the Access to Capital program at the Women’s Business Development Center of Chicago, where she doubled the size of the loan portfolio while reducing delinquencies by half. She has also served as Director of the Lending Program and Latinx Outreach Director for Accion Chicago.

Idaima holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Chicago at Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
