In 1987 a small group of investors and activists founded what is now Community Vision, Capital and Consulting. They gathered together with a bold vision, to advance economic and racial justice by investing in communities of color that had been intentionally disinvested. To bring into reality what seemed impossible: a reparative economy rooted in community-driven solutions.
We are celebrating our 35th year with refined strategies that enhance our capacity to partner with the communities we serve, to advance community ownership of community assets.
We do this through real estate guidance and financial management advising, innovative programs, grant making, catalytic capital and flexible financing. Our goal is to help build a restorative economy that centers success for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) led nonprofits, small businesses and initiatives.
As part of the celebration, we are telling just a few of our stories about how Community Vision, donors, investors and the communities we serve are building partnerships, capital and power.
