The Accounting Financial Analyst will work as part of a team that manages accounting, reporting, grant disbursements, loan servicing, and compliance. Under supervision, the Accounting Financial Analyst will be involved in all accounting functions. This position reports to the Controller and the Chief Financial Officer. The Accounting Financial Analyst also works closely with staff from other departments on revenues, expenses, disbursements, and portfolio tracking.
Responsibilities include:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Journal entries and GL Accounting
- Loan portfolio servicing
- Investor portfolio servicing
- Support for annual audit and tax filings
- Special purpose entity accounting
- Financial statement preparation and analytics
- Financial statement covenant compliance
- Trend analysis
- Special projects as assigned
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Ideal Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Academic coursework or credits in accounting/finance
- Knowledge of/experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Knowledge of/experience with nonprofit and fund accounting principles
- Knowledge of/experience with MS Office Excel
- Knowledge of/experience with Abila MIP, Bill.com, and Salesforce preferred
- Ability to analyze problems, find discrepancies, and resolve issues
- Ability to perform work of a confidential nature in a professional manner
- Knowledge of and experience with loan amortization schedules and loan servicing preferred
- Well-organized, able to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
- Willing to work as part of a team
- Able to remain professional and flexible under pressure
- High ethical standards

Hours & Location
- Full-time position, exempt
- Main office is located in San Francisco; however, all staff are currently working remotely
- Work hours will be predominantly during regular business hours, although occasional evenings and weekends will be required
- A flexible schedule may be accommodated
- Expected local travel for meetings, presentations, trainings and events by public transit or driving
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range is $68K to $80K annually DOE.
