Over the past few weeks, there has been a lot of news shared about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its spread across communities all over the world. We continue to closely monitor developments related to its potential impacts on our communities. As a local, collaborative partner, all of us at Community Vision are committed to ensuring that our staff, clients, investors, and partners remain healthy, safe, and that our business continues to run smoothly. We are also dedicated to supporting our clients in navigating the impacts that COVID-19 may have on their ability to conduct business, and on the communities they serve.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are following recommendations from the San Francisco Public Health Department regarding COVID-19. As of March 9, 2020, Community Vision requested all staff to work from home and suspend all non-essential travel. We are also encouraging staff to refrain from attending large gatherings, conferences, and to prioritize digital meetings whenever possible. Though the doors to our offices are closed, Community Vision remains open and fully functioning. We are here to support you, our clients, and greater community.

In preparation for the possibility of operating remotely, we recently upgraded our technological systems to support our staff in remaining responsive to client, investor, and community needs. Our staff are taking steps to be proactive and responsive as the situation continues to develop. We will do our best to keep you updated across all of our communications channels of any developments and we ask for your patience as we navigate the evolving nature of this circumstance.

We encourage everyone to take preventative measures and to remember that a person’s risk for contracting COVID-19 is not dependent on race, ethnicity, culture, or socioeconomic status. Together, we should respond from a place of compassion, justice, and knowledge, while prioritizing our health and wellbeing.

We’re here for you. If you have any concerns or need additional support, please do not hesitate to contact Ann Cameron, Interim President, by email at acameron@communityvisionca.org or by phone at 415.392.8215 x308 (work) or 415.936.9859 (cell).
