Community Vision is thrilled to announce that Karen Sullivan and Saul Ettlin have been promoted to Co-Directors of Consulting. Together, they will lead Community Vision’s Consulting department through a shared leadership model, which leverages the diverse skill sets of the two leaders.
Karen started here in 2008 as a Consulting Analyst and advanced through the organization in a variety of positions, including serving as a Senior Loan Officer for 5 years. Most recently, she has managed the organization’s Real Estate Consultants, leading the team’s systems and process improvements. She has more than 10 years of experience in CDFI lending, nonprofit consulting, program development, and much more.
“For more than a decade the consulting team has successfully provided stability, mitigated nonprofit displacement, and enabled the preservation of valued community space,” said Sullivan. “Co-Directing with Saul will provide us with an incredible opportunity to increase our impact, and build a more resilient leadership structure.”
Saul joined Community Vision as a Real Estate Consultant in 2016 with more than 20 years of nonprofit management and leadership experience. In his role, he has supported more than 70 organizations in solving real estate challenges. Prior to joining the Consulting team, Saul was a senior member of Tides’ real estate and operations team where he helped operate multi-tenant nonprofit centers. He brings a passion for innovation, systems thinking, and community power building through a real estate lens.
“I am passionate about partnering with our community’s nonprofit groups to find innovative solutions to tackle some of the most pressing challenges they face,” said Ettlin. “I am thrilled to Co-Direct this high-impact team with Karen to ensure that we continue to effectively partner with our clients to provide them with the services they need to thrive.”
