Destiny Arts Center was founded in 1988 to create a space where young people could learn to prevent violence in their lives and share a message of peace with their communities. Destiny offers violence prevention programs to Bay Area youth (ages 3-18) through artistic mediums such as dance, theatre and martial arts. Community Vision has provided Destiny Arts with a $925,000 acquisition/rehabilitation loan that will partially finance the organization’s purchase and renovation of its new arts education center/headquarters, located in North Oakland.
