San Francisco SOMA Capacity Building Initiative
For community-based organizations working or providing services in SOMA.
Community Vision has partnered with the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development and the South of Market (SOMA) Community Stabilization Fund to make positive and long-lasting impact on the lives of the community’s low-income children, families, and seniors. The mission of the SOMA Community Stabilization Fund is to stabilize the community and promote equity through strategies that mitigate the impact of development.
Through this program Community Vision is offering financial management and “real estate readiness” technical assistance services, as well as workshops to nonprofit organizations located in the South of Market neighborhood.
TA services will be provided by Community Vision to help organizations strengthen and improve their financial systems and organizational capacity. Organizations receiving TA services are expected to dedicate staff who will work directly with Community Vision consultants. Services will be provided on a one-on-one basis and occasionally in a group setting if there are similar needs amongst the TA recipients.
Requests for technical assistance services will be reviewed by Community Vision and MOHCD staff. TA requests will be reviewed and accepted on an on – going basis through March 30, 2018.
