Joi Eubanks

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Joi is a proud alumna of Tennessee State University, where she majored in broadcast communication. While initially aspiring to become a broadcast journalist like Oprah Winfrey, Joi discovered her passion for economic development after moving to Fresno and joining the local Small Business Development Center (SBDC) as an administrative assistant. Her love for helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams led her to a decade-long tenure at the SBDC, culminating in her role as Assistant Director.

Following her time at the SBDC, Joi transitioned to the banking sector, working for a commercial bank and two different Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), including one that was once the largest in the country. With over 15 years of dedication to economic development in the Central Valley, Joi now serves as the Community Development Officer for Community Vision. In this role, she focuses on deepening relationships with minority-owned businesses and nonprofits, and collaborates with strategic partners to highlight and address the challenges faced by entrepreneurs and residents of color in the region.
