Nate brings a combination of development lending and public policy experience to his role leading Community Vision's policy advocacy and impact management work. He has been with Community Vision for six years, previously serving as Director of Business Development and Co-Director of Lending. Prior to that he worked for a decade with rural development lender Root Capital, where he built the organization's Africa program and later served as Senior Vice President of Lending, overseeing the organization's global lending operation. Nate has also worked on the policy staff of several gubernatorial and congressional campaigns. A native of Richmond, CA, Nate holds an MS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and BAs in Economics and Political Science from Swarthmore College. He serves on the board of Urban Tilth, a food justice organization.
