Founded in 1985, Project Inform works to curtail the HIV and hepatitis C epidemics through the development of effective treatments; supporting individuals to make informed choices about their health; advocating for quality, affordable health care; and promoting medical strategies that prevent new infections. The organization was selected to host the AIDS Walk fundraiser in San Francisco in 2014. Community Vision provided Project Inform with a $400,000 working capital term loan to cover pre-event expenses associated with hosting the 2014 AIDS Walk.

This year on World AIDS Day (December 1, 2014) Community Vision joined Project Inform at the AIDS Memorial Grove in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park as they presented $252,500 in grants to 30 Bay Area HIV/AIDS organizations that provide critical services to end the AIDS epidemic, including medical care, social services, HIV testing, and preventative care. These grants were a direct result of this year’s AIDS Walk where 20,000 people gathered to raise nearly $2.3 million for the cause.
